About Me

Everything in Between was created at the start of 2013 to share my life activities, some of my favorite things, and to link my two other blogs to a central location.

My name is Shannon - 90% of the people I know call me Shrooney.  I was born in 1985 which puts me at the wonderful age of 27...soon to be 28...eek! I am a planner - I have been trying to plan my life for a while now but it doesn't seem to be working.  So I am trying to cry less ;) and do more of what I love and enjoy the adventures I encounter along the way.

During the day, and often into the night, I work as an Applications Engineer for a tech company in the Silicon Valley.  The job is not glamorous and at times causes me more stress than a twenty-something year old should have but I surprisingly I do love what I do.  The job challenges me and supports my lifestyle.

I love spa days and shopping at Aritzia.  I love fashion, arts and crafts and fuzzy things.  I love anything sparkly and NHL hockey - specifically the Sharks.  I love anything eco friendly and am always down for a good cheese platter + wine.  I love traveling - hence my travel blog - and love to eat - again hence my food recipe blog.

This blog showcases my life adventures + things I love and everything in between.  I hope you enjoy my hodge podge of posts!

  1. Hi Shrooney! I too am a planner - at 16 I pretty much had my life mapped out. Then I turned 26 and it wasn't exactly how I thought it would be. But then when I pause and think about it, it's better than what I had planned. Different, but definitely better. I try to plan less (try!) now and just breathe in each moment without worry. As I've gotten older, I've learned that wine + cheese will always make you feel like you're an adult doing what you're supposed to do. Oh, and the past couple months have taught me that wine is best shared with people who share the same love for Pinterest, Instagram, cute animals and who share the same drive to make the world a better place for everyone. And most importantly, I've learned that friendships begin when you least expect it to. That you might share more things in common with with your next door neighbor than just the kitchen wall. ;)
